Periodontics

Most people don’t realize it, but periodontal disease affects three out of four people at some time in life and is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults today. The good news is, it can be treated successfully if detected early enough – and even prevented with proper care. Therefore, it’s important to have your gums examined at least once every six months (every three months or those who are susceptible to gum disease) as part of your regular dental care. We provide you with the latest diagnostic techniques that go hand in hand with our medical know how to diagnose and treat all forms of periodontal disease, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and receding gums. Treatment plans, which can range from uncomplicated medication therapies to the most complex surgical procedures, are designed in cooperation with your general dentist to meet you unique needs and to bring you back to optimum dental health as quickly as possible.

Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

A healthy and attractive smile can be one of your most valuable assets – but not if accompanied by receding or excess gum tissue. Too much or too little gum tissue not only detracts from smiles, but also creates a threat to overall dental health because it inhibits the protective and supportive function of your gums to your teeth. We use the latest surgical techniques to reshape gum tissue so that no only enhances appearance, but improves this protective and supportive function as well.

Implant Surgery

We perform cylindrical implant surgery using the most up-to-date techniques and state of the art technology available. These implants, which can involve only a single tooth or an entire mouth, no only stops the degeneration of bone caused by missing teeth, but also can eliminate the frustration, embarrassment and discomfort associated with wearing dentures and removable bridges.

TMJ Disorders & Facial Pain

We have a special interest in diagnosing and treating patients with headaches, facial pain, and/or Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ), which include popping, clicking, or locking of jaw joints and sore jaw muscles. Thanks to the specialized diagnostic and treatment capabilities of Dr. Benson and his team, many of our patients who suffer facial pain and TMJ disorders are relieved of their symptoms.
